About Alliance in Care

Our primary aim aim is to improve and enrich the quality of our service users' life experience.
By applying principles of person centered planning, we provide care and support in environments that promote the maintenance of an individual's existing skills and the learning of new skills.
  • We deliver high quality services offering care and support to individuals with a Learning Disability and / or Mental Health Need whose behaviour or level of social care need cannot be accommodated in other less supportive service settings.

  • Our services uphold the individual’s rights to dignity and respect; promote and support the development of choice, independence and inclusion.

  • We deliver individualised levels of care and support based upon thorough assessment of the individual's needs and preferences in order to actively promote community presence, participation and integration.

  • We provide non-aversive strategies that support individuals who's behaviours or levels of social care need are assessed as requiring planned intervention.

  • We ensure that all care and support plans accord with the individual’s life plan (PCP) and that associated risks that may be entailed in the provision of such an individualised approach are adequately assessed and managed.

  • We provide a communication environment that aims to support each individual service users communication needs.

  • We promote ‘best practice’ by the delivering a professional development programme for all staff which utilises both in house and external training resources in order that we ensure our staffs skills and knowledge remain up to date with developments in practice.

  • We maintain high levels of communication with representatives of funding authorities and clinicians to ensure that individuals continue to receive the required input both to maintain the placement with Alliance in Care and to facilitate smooth transitions when individuals move to future placements.

  • We committed to promoting and maintaining Equal Opportunities for all service users and staff in line with Alliance in Care’s Equal Opportunities Policy.

  • We monitor and strive for continuous improvement in quality through our Internal Quality Assurance Framework, Investors in People processes, feedback from our customers and regular self-audit and service development planning.
